Coppola's West is an Italian restaurant located on W 79th Street. Founded in 1989 by Owner-Chef Salvatore Coppola, who spent many hours in the kitchen learning to cook and refining Northern Italian recipes. Salvatore quickly became Executive Sous Chef after training in New York City restaurants before opening Trattoria Coppola in 1986. The establishment soon became a staple for dining on New York's Upper West Side and earned him a 5 Star Diamond Award in 1997. In 1998, Coppola's East was opened to provide a more elegant style of Northern Italian 'Comfort Food'. The restaurant also offers professional and knowledgeable service, an extensive wine list, private party room and full off-premise catering menu. However, it should be noted that this restaurant has not updated its profile for more than 8 years and might be closed down.
