Dragon Boat Festival is one of the most meaningful traditional holidays in Chinese culture, celebrated this year on June 19th 🐉🥢

The festival honors the ancient poet Qu Yuan, who devoted his life to his country and, according to legend, jumped into a river in sorrow after the fall of his homeland. People raced out on dragon boats to search for him and threw rice dumplings, known as Zongzi, into the water so fish would not disturb him. Over time, this became the origin of today’s Dragon Boat Festival traditions.

Zongzi are traditional sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves, enjoyed during this holiday as a symbol of remembrance, care, and gathering with loved ones.

This year, Nan Xiang is introducing a limited-edition Zongzi Gift Set available from 6/1–6/28 featuring:
🥢 Savory Shanghai-Style Pork Zongzi
🍵 Sweet Matcha Red Bean Zongzi

Each set comes with a reusable basket-style bag, perfect as a cute lunch bag or everyday carry.

$28 per set/ limited availability while supplies last ✨

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at the Mother‘s Day Lucky Six small stoneware bowls, where every piece begins with care.

In collaboration with Long Island pottery artist Alison Ryczek, we had the privilege of witnessing true craftsmanship up close, from raw clay to finished form.
Every piece began with a quiet, intentional process, clay centered on the wheel, hands steady, shaping, pressing, lifting.
Every knead, every turn, every trim, every glaze, every firing, a rhythm that feels almost meditative. Mesmerizing to watch, even more meaningful to hold.
We were deeply moved by Alison’s dedication to her craft, and proud to help translate that same spirit of care, patience, and authenticity into something we can share with you.
Each piece carries that story. No shortcuts. No mass production. Just time, hands, and heart.
Very limited release, only ~50 pieces per store, and they are going fast.
Visit your nearest Nan Xiang to inquire and support local artisans.
Available for $16 per bowl with a dine-in purchase of $55 or more.
Celebrate craftsmanship. Celebrate care. Celebrate Mom.

This Mother’s Day
Crafted by her. Shared at the table. 💐🥟

In celebration of Mother’s Day, we partnered with Long Island local pottery artist Alison Ryczek () to create our "Lucky Six Small Angular Stoneware Bowls" inspired by the signature colors of our Lucky Six Soup Dumplings.

Much like shaping each soup dumpling, forming pottery by hand requires precision, rhythm, and touch. That shared craftsmanship is what brought these two worlds together.

This set brings together color, texture, and intention, designed to be part of meaningful moments at the table.

"Lucky Six Small Angular Stoneware Bowls" will be aviable in-store starting 5/1. Watch the full story on YouTube (link in bio)!
