Today we’re heartbroken to hear about the passing of longtime Pizza Garden customer and friend, Andy Schenck.
For more than 50 years, Andy was part of the Pizza Garden family. Even after moving out to Long Island, he always found his way back to Flushing for his favorite pizza. That kind of loyalty means something special to us.
Andy was one of the good guys — always supportive, always kind, always leaving thoughtful words on our social media posts and cheering us on through the years. A true OG in every sense of the word.
People like Andy are part of what made Pizza Garden what it is today. He wasn’t just a customer — he was part of the history, part of the memories, and part of the heart of this place.
We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends. Rest easy, Andy. Your seat at Pizza Garden will always mean something to us. 🍕 www.tributearchive.com/obituaries/48459189/andy-schenck

Sad news for the Pizza Garden family today.
Many of our longtime customers may remember Dina Scarselli, who spent her teenage years working behind the counter at Pizza Garden. Dina was the daughter of Tony Scarselli, one of the original founders of Pizza Garden and my father’s partner in the early days of the shop.
Like many kids who grew up around family businesses, Dina spent time behind the counter and became part of the memories that so many customers still share about those early years. When a place has been around as long as Pizza Garden, the history isn’t just about the pizza — it’s about the people who helped build it and the families connected to it.
Dina will always be part of the Pizza Garden story. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family and all who knew and loved her.
