They say it takes a village to raise a child. I’ve learned it takes one to grow a business too, and that village starts with a team.
It’s been almost three months since Bessou opened at JFK Terminal 4. Every day, each person behind that counter have made it better than the day before. They’ve learned a new cuisine, new systems, served travelers from all over the world, solved problems on the fly, and shown up for each other.
To every single person who has had a hand in Bessou at Terminal 4: our crew, our partners, and everyone who jumped in to train, cook, build, and troubleshoot, thank you. You make it better every single day and we’re so grateful to be building this with you. 🙏

We had a great time at the Food and W**e Festival (New York City W**e & Food Festival)! Our shrimp toast and DNice’s beats were keeping everyone smiling on Saturday night. Thank you to Kwame Onwuachi for curating such a warm showcase of NYC hospitality!

New holiday season, new market!
I love being part of holiday markets because it’s a way to show some of our creative side outside of our everyday menu.
This year we’re trading Bryant Park for the Union Square Holiday Market. We had so much fun at Bryant Park, but I found myself missing that local, neighborhood connection, and Union Square feels a lot closer to home for us.
Holiday markets have become one of my favorite traditions. They’re my way of giving thanks to this beautiful city, the one I grew up in and am now raising my kids in. ❤️
The best part? Dreaming up new designs with my incredibly talented friend Nancy. I love the back-and-forth exchanges of taking what’s in our minds and memories and making it real.
Something new and beautiful is coming. See you in Union Square! ✨

What a weekend!
Our team held it down Anime NYC, tabled a block party in Bed Stuy, (hosted by our good friends Playground), and we did it as a family!
It was all hands on deck and everyone did their part. Truly so grateful to be surrounded by such a great group of hardworking individuals. The Bessou team is the best team!

From Midtown Manhattan, take the subway line 6 downtown to Astor Place. Walk east along St. Marks Place until you reach Third Avenue, then turn left and continue for two blocks.
If driving from the Brooklyn or Queens area, take the Williamsburg Bridge and follow signs for Delancey Street westbound. Turn left on Bowery and continue for four blocks before making a right onto East 9th Street. Turn right again onto Third Avenue and drive for two more blocks.
Limited street parking is available in the vicinity of the restaurant, but there are also several paid parking garages nearby for those who prefer to park their cars.
