Mother’s Day this year at Little Owl 🤍🦉

Our brunch service begins at 9am, and this year we’re offering a special prix fixe menu. Let Mom choose her entrée and we’ll take care of the rest with a celebratory spread of seasonal amuse bouches for the table.

There are a few extras and add ons available if you want to keep the good times going.

Lisa will be pouring Poggio Sole rosé in large format to toast to all the mothers we love on this special day in May.

Linguine alla Nerano - Zucchini fried in olive oil and seasoned with salt right after being removed. Into that same oil goes a bunch of basil, imparting a grassy freshness. Add the linguine with some butter, parm and pecorino. Savory, simple, and delicious!

One thing never changed.

He always asked for a gute matzo kneydl zup mit braizte flanken.

In honor of Fred Rudd, Chag Sameach and rest in peace. We’ll be serving it this Passover at Little Owl.

Women’s History Month Wine Dinner with Winemaker Maria Chiancola 🍷🥂

Join us in the Chef’s Room at Little Owl to wrap up Women’s History Month with an intimate wine dinner celebrating Maria Chiancola of Tipsy Rose Wines.

Maria’s California-grown wines—bright, expressive, and inspired by the Rhône Valley—have quickly developed a devoted following. For this one-night event, Maria will personally guide guests through each pairing and share the stories behind the vineyards, bottles, and her winemaking approach.

Chef Joey Campanaro has created a spring-driven menu to highlight the freshness of the season and the character of Maria’s wines.

“Growing up, my mom would say, ‘It’s not cheesecake if it doesn’t have cracks on the top.’ And truly, I am all for the glory of imperfection in nature and in cooking (you’ll notice that my pancakes aren’t perfectly round, my breadsticks aren’t uniformly cut, and achieving a gorgeous burst-of-flavor surprise from an imperfectly torn, large piece of herb in a salad comes from not wanting to be too perfect).

But I want my cheesecake smooth, rich, luscious, and crack-free. Sorry, Mom.

This recipe calls for a water bath so that the center stays moist and the edges don’t brown and dry, which prevents cracks from forming. It’s old-school mom-mom Philadelphia-style cheesecake meets professional chef moves.

P.S. If I had to choose a last supper, it would be spaghetti and clams, Jonathan Waxman’s roasted chicken (from his book Italian, My Way), and this Philadelphia-style (sorry, New York) cheesecake for dessert.”
