If you're looking for a cozy bar and grill in Avenue A, New York, look no further than 96 Tears. This establishment offers a bustling kitchen and a warm atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. But what really sets 96 Tears apart is their commitment to providing top-notch entertainment for their patrons.
Their Sunday DJ series is not to be missed, with the latest event featuring BOOGIE NIGHT! HOWLIN’ HURD (DADDY LONG LEGS) and JONATHAN TOUBIN (NY NIGHT TRAIN), spinning vinyl for your drinking and dancing pleasure. And if you're a fan of rock n roll history, don't miss their release party for the new FREAKS lp, featuring hostess ANDREA “BIG MAMA FREAK” KUNSTEN and DJ SAM HARISS. FREAKS were a legendary late-80s NYC band that hasn't had any recordings in print since 1990, so this is truly a special occasion.
But even on regular nights, 96 Tears has something to offer. Their taco & vinyl experiment/fiesta on Sundays features dynamic DJ duo MARS & KIM THE BEAT spinning records from 9PM 'til late. And with happy birthday shoutouts to legends like KID CONGO POWERS, it's clear that 96 Tears is more than just a bar - it's a community hub where music lovers can come together and celebrate the best of NYC culture.
