What people say
The Lobster Club, located on E 53rd Street in New York, is a Japanese Brasserie that offers a unique interpretation of Japanese cooking and sushi. With chef Tasuku Murakami at the helm, classic techniques like tempura, gyoza, yakitori and robata are on display along with a focus on Teppanyaki and Sushi. Chef Murakami sources his fish through his personal relationships at Tokyo's Tsukiji market ensuring the highest level of quality.
What sets The Lobster Club apart is its focus on food and fun rather than formality. Everything on the menu has been designed to be shared, making it perfect for groups looking to enjoy a meal together. The restaurant also offers excellent service from its waitstaff.
Designed by world-renowned architect Peter Marino, The Lobster Club is the first restaurant in America to feature his work. From uniforms to floors, original Picasso plates to Marino-designed Picasso-inspired sculptures, every item in the room has been commissioned or selected by Marino himself.
The Lobster Club occupies the former home of The Brasserie, a storied 1980s eatery that brought Downtown cool to Midtown with its around-the-clock service and famously fun crowd. That same spirit infuses The Lobster Club today.
Whether you're looking for dinner or lunch options, The Lobster Club has something for everyone. And with its excellent food and fun atmosphere, it's no wonder this restaurant has become a local favorite since opening in November 2017.
