Grand Opening of Coney Waffle in Brooklyn!!
On Tuesday June 14th Coney Waffle (Under the Kosher supervision of KSA) celebrated the official grand opening of Coney Island’s hottest ice cream parlor with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Joseph D'Esposito, founder of Coney Waffle has partnered with the operators of Sugar Pop to be his first franchisee.

Councilman Ari Kagan had the honor to officiate the event with the participation of Olga Fiore of Senator Diane Savino’s office ,Hanna Glickman of community board 13, local Coney Island businesses, and community stakeholders and residents.

Located on Surf Avenue directly across from the iconic Cyclone Roller Coaster, the establishment is bringing a favored dessert with a modern twist to the Amusement District.

In the 1940s, founder Angelina D'Esposito made a living selling ice cream in Coney Island. Seven decades later, her grandson has returned to bring this treat back to its origin. “Coney Waffle” which opened in Belmar, NJ in 2016 has locations in Asbury Park, Long Branch, and Red Bank and specializes in over-the-top desserts of waffles cones, milkshakes, brownie waffles, as well as original ice cream cakes, fudge, candy, and other complimentary treats.

To get to Surf Avenue in Brooklyn, you can take the D, F or N subway train and get off at the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station. Alternatively, if you're driving, take the Belt Parkway to Exit 6 for Cropsey Avenue/Bay Parkway and follow signs for Coney Island.

Parking options include metered street parking (usually difficult to find), or private parking lots close to Surf Avenue such as MCU Park lot or Luna Park parking garage.
