Years in the New York City hospitality industry make dog years seem like milliseconds. When hungry folks are waiting to be simultaneously fed and bedazzled, every moment can become an eternity cast in amber. Every day brings a new challenge, a new battle, a new crushing defeat, a new breathless victory. Lifetimes go by in a flash while the clock in the prep kitchen never relents. Which is exactly why milestones such as these are so valuable. And sacred. Looking back while looking forward we are overwhelmed with the love and community we’ve been so fortunate to receive over the years. It is for this reason we wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to EVERY👏🏼 SINGLE👏🏼 ONE👏🏼 OF👏🏼 YOU👏🏼 who have accompanied us on this adventure. Truly none of this would be possible without your continuing support and for that, we thank you all. Thank you Williamsburg, thank you NYC, thank you to the entirety of our human family who have found your ways to our doorstep. As a tiny token of our immense thankfulness, please swing by the door today and enjoy a cup of New Mexico Pinon Coffee on us.

That said, we’d like to close with some real talk. This industry is hard. It can be fraught and unforgiving and the human toll it exacts is no joke. People come and go over the years and the personalities and personal journeys don’t always align. It’s a constant challenge to stay healthy and maintain the health of all the moving people parts on a daily basis. Because of these challenges, goodbyes and lettings go are not always easy or amicable. Like every restaurant, we’ve had our fair share of messy breakups over the years. Many of them have inevitably left some folks with (understandable) resentments. It’s those people we would like to not just acknowledge, but honor. Without your vital contributions over the years we would never have gotten here. We remember you fondly and think on you with love more often than you may want to believe. Thank you for spending some of your most precious moments on this Earth with us. You are an inextricable fiber in our fabric and we are forever grateful. With respect, love, and joy, thank you.
