To get to the ice cream shop on E 17th Street, you can take the L train to the 3rd Avenue station and walk west for a few blocks. Alternatively, take the M23-SBS bus route and get off at the 3rd Avenue stop, then walk east for a few blocks.
If you're driving, there are several parking garages nearby on East 16th Street and East 18th Street between Second and Third Avenues. Be prepared to pay hourly rates for parking in this area.
