We lost a great artist today. His work inspired thought, emotion, and beauty on each canvas. He will be sorely missed by many.

Omneyah and Ismael Alcheikh have been with me at Huda since Day 1. They deserve so much credit for what Huda has grown into and I cannot appreciate them enough. I always think back to the days when it seemed nothing could go right. When I had to hold my head up high and hide how scared I was about the future. These two people stuck by me when the vultures circled and I love them so much for that.
Aaron and Andi joined our team a bit later on but have been so integral in establishing the culture at Huda. Their energy and ambition have done so much to push us higher. They already feel like family.
Like any owner, I’m a bit scared these amazing people will one day move on to bigger & better things. But I’ll also be proud of them and hope to be as supportive of their dreams as they’ve been of mine.
Here are some beautiful outtakes by the ever talented deanmajd for the recent issue of New York Magazine
I feel I am in a special place right now and thank you so much for being a part of it.

Jhon is a valued Huda team member who recently got detained by 🧊 in Brooklyn with a huge possibility of getting deported back to Colombia. This has been a loss at Huda as Jhon is a very caring and hardworking team player. Everyone who worked with Jhon knew they were guaranteed a fun time while getting the job done. However, this is not only a loss for Huda, but for the family he was building with his pregnant wife, Michelle, as well. As 🧊 has transferred Jhon to New Jersey and now to Louisiana, we can’t predict where he’ll be next. One thing we can be sure of is the support we can give him while he’s away.
This is why we’re raising funds to cover legal costs and help support his family and the new baby that Michelle is expecting in less than 2 months.
On behalf of Jhon and his family, we appreciate you for all the support you’re able to provide. ♥️
