It is with great and profound sadness, bittersweet joy, and an air of celebration, that we announce the closing of our restaurant…THE Clinton Restaurant. We will close our doors on Sunday June 25, 2023. We’ve had an incredible run spanning 4 Generations from 1939 til present!
We are honored that we were chosen to have been a part of so many of our customer’s celebrations,…from christenings and graduations to first dates and engagements, and to birthdays and final farewells. We cherish them all. These memories will stay bright in our minds, and the love for our customers will stay warm in our hearts forever.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our many customers through the years and our ever present loyal clientele…we will greatly miss you…

Last night there was a fire in an outside basement window well of The Clinton Restaurant. It was started by a cigarette that set fire to leaves. We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays and will take these two days to evaluate the damage.

In the meantime, we would like to thank the Whitestone and College Point fire houses who responded so quickly and professionally. They made sure the building was safe and kept damage to a minimum. For that we are grateful.

We would like to thank our incredible staff who worked throughout the incident doing what had to be done and staying until they were able to clean up everything that they could. We love them for their dedication.

Finally, we would like to thank our wonderful customers, almost all of whom paid their bill even after we told them they could leave without doing so. It is our faithful and loyal patrons who have always been the backbone of The Clinton Restaurant. We are eternally thankful to have the support of such an amazing community!
