Librae Bakery in Cooper Square, New York is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. This third culture bakery combines Middle Eastern roots with Danish technique to create unique and delicious pastries that are sure to impress. Their Kouign Amann Squiggle is a standout item, with layers of cardamom and vanilla sugar between buttery laminated pastry resulting in a pastry full of caramelization and crunch. The Mango Saffron Sticky Bun is another must-try, made with croissant dough scraps and filled with mango compote, mango curd, and saffron syrup. For something citrusy and syrupy, try the Loomi Babka - black lime speckled dough knotted up and filled with lemon curd. And if you're looking for a way to show your pride this month, be sure to pick up one of their Librae pride t-shirts - a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Ali Forney Center for LGBTQ+ Youth Shelter and Services. With so many delicious treats on offer, it's no wonder that Librae Bakery has become such a beloved spot in Cooper Square.
