We’ll preface this with saying WE ARE OPEN today.
Despite a surprise sidewalk repair from the DOT this morning with no warning, zero coordination and our front door coned off with fresh concrete overlapping the entrance, WE ARE OPEN today.
The DOT apparently doesn’t mind declaring us closed by blocking our front door on our busiest day of the week instead of reaching out or simply looking up online to see that this could’ve been done on a Monday when we ARE CLOSED.
No heads up so we could’ve at least prepared and protected the exterior from all of the concrete that splashed on the beautiful black locust wooden facade that I will have to refinish.
Now after frantically plastering signs on our front door before we open for everyone to please be careful and using caution tape to cover as much as we can while still being able to actually open the door, the concrete has already been stepped in and tracked through the restaurant multiple times AND we’re not even in dinner service yet.
A kind message to and , can we have some coordination with the city and small businesses when it comes to things like this??
Can’t believe they chose a Friday morning to do this. It’s going to be a total mess by tomorrow.
If anyone has an extra va**um for me tonight, I’ll buy you a beer.
Thanks for listening.

As the harm caused by ICE continues—both across the country and here at home—we stand alongside those demanding justice, humanity, and safety for every person.
As a small, community-rooted, immigrant-owned business, we believe in showing up locally and taking action. And while shutting down isn’t financially possible for many small businesses like ours, we remain committed to supporting our community. A portion of our sales this weekend will be donated to organizations offering direct aid to immigrant communities and families. Specifically and
We also encourage anyone who’s able to continue the strike by redirecting their spending away from big-box retailers and corporations that profit from or uphold ICE and and this administration’s harmful immigration policies.
Thank you for being part of a community that chooses care, accountability, and solidarity.

Hi everyone! Will make this short and sweet.
Due to many issues and high fees dealing with DoorDash we will be leaving the platform at the end of this week.
Please use the app “Local by Toast” or the web link in our profile for future online pickup/delivery ordering.
We extended our delivery zone for our in-house delivery guys to practically accommodate as much of an area as we can. We apologize if you now fall outside of our delivery zone but encourage you to come dine in with us!! It’s fun:)
Perks: We do not charge a delivery fee, but remind you to please TIP our guys.
Menu prices are slightly cheaper using Toast.
Thank You and please start making the switch today!! 💚💛💚💛
