Born in Nairobi, Kenya, and raised in New York, Sylvester Inda () got his start in hospitality in 2013 as a wine assistant at Keen’s Steakhouse. A decade of experience later, he joined Gramercy Tavern as a sommelier and was named the head sommelier early last year. In fall 2025, he took the reins at Ci Siamo leading the wine program as our Wine Director.

We’re thrilled to share that, for Passover this year, we’re partnering with two of our favorite shops to offer our matzo beyond Ci Siamo. Starting Tuesday, you can find it in-store for pickup at in the West Village and Upper East Side, as well as at our longtime partner at their Amagansett market.

Pre-orders at Ci Siamo are still open beginning Wednesday — Monday through Wednesday pickups are currently sold out.

Spring at last! No matter the weather, we’re embracing the spirit of the season at Ci Siamo. Passover is just around the corner, ramp butter is (soon) to be on menu, and we’re planned for a few festive events up in Boston.

Our annual matzo is back for Passover, preorder through the link in bio. Chef Hillary’s version is made in the Italian tradition — wood-fired, brushed with olive oil, and served with a side of ramp, lemon, and horseradish butter.

Matzo will be available for pickup at the restaurant after 12pm from Tuesday, March 31 through Thursday, April 9.

To get to the restaurant by public transport, take the train or bus to the nearest station stop and walk south for about 10 minutes. Alternatively, take a taxi or rideshare service from the station.

If driving, take the main road in the direction of the city center and turn onto the side street just past the park. Then, continue straight until you reach a fork in the road and bear left. There should be parking available on either side of the street near the restaurant.
