Chez les Frenchies is a cozy French café located on East 75th Street in the Upper Eastside, serving delectable pastries, cakes, crepes, tartines, sandwiches, and Malongo coffee. Apart from its regular offerings, customers can enjoy seasonal specialties such as mango/passion fruit eclair and homemade carrot ginger soup (vegan). The café also serves a unique popcorn latte. This past week we celebrated our 2 Year anniversary with our amazing team. Thank you Robyn, Alexa, Joanna, Arkadiy, Tatiana and Lana for all your hard work, we certainly couldn’t do it without you.

Five years ago we started this amazing and scary journey. An undertaking , that I was unsure we would be able to achieve but with Aksana’s « we can do anything attitude »,we are here today. There have been highs and lows and times of uncertainty. We’ve laughed, cried and agreed to disagree but here we are.

We are grateful to all the people that supported us from the very beginning. Thank you to those of you for encouraging us when it was only an idea. To the Lycee Français NY Community (moms, dads, student and staff)and our UES neighbors thank you for your continued support. You are all a part of our first chapter.

Along the way we’ve grown and opened a second successful location. We thank all our new Midtown friends for all the support you have shown us there as well.

We have made so many wonderful memories and shared many laughs along the way. Our gratitude for letting us be a part of your life ❤️

👑Galette des Rois👑

The galette des rois, celebrating Epiphany, the day the Three Kings (les rois) visited the infant Jesus, is baked throughout January in France. Composed of two circles of puff pastry sandwiching a frangipani filling, each comes with a crown and always has a trinket, called a fève, or bean, baked into it. It’s an invitation to gather, as much party game as pastry – if your slice has the fève, you get the crown and the right to be king or queen for the day.

To reach the café and french restaurant located on East 75th Street in New York, there are several options for both public transport and driving.

Public Transport:
- Take the subway to the 77th St station (6 train) and walk south on Lexington Avenue towards East 75th Street. Turn right onto East 75th Street and continue until you reach the destination.
- Alternatively, take the M101, M102 or M103 bus to the Lexington Avenue/East 75th Street stop. Walk west along East 75th Street until you reach the destination.

Driving/Parking:
- If driving, take FDR Drive to exit 12 toward E. 63rd St. Follow signs for E. 61st St./NY-25/Queensboro Bridge and turn left onto York Ave. Turn right onto E. 74th St., then left onto Lexington Ave., then left again onto E. 75th St.
- There are several parking garages in the area such as MPG Parking on E.74th St between Park & Lexington Aves, and Icon Parking at E.76th St between Park & Madison Aves.

Note: These directions are not specific to Chez les Frenchies but will guide you to East 75th Street where it is located.
