JNP Coffee was founded by Jeanine Niyonzima-Aroian, who grew up in Bujumbura hearing her mother’s stories of the whole family harvesting coffee in Ngozi Province to pay for school. She went on to build a 20-year international business career, then returned to her roots with a specific purpose: get Burundian coffee into world markets and make sure the people who grew it were paid what it was actually worth.
