What people say
Japanese restaurants are known for their delicious and unique cuisine, and Wakuwaku on 36th Street in New York is no exception. This Japanese izakaya located in Japan Village offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere, making it the perfect escape from the city bustle. The outdoor setup in the courtyard is stunning and adds to the overall experience of dining at Wakuwaku.
One of the standout dishes at Wakuwaku is their Wagyu Beef, which is both hot and delicious. The lightly seared 6 oz Japanese Wagyu ribeye served with matcha salt, yuzu soy sauce, and their housemade steak sauce is a must-try for any meat lover. Another dish that stands out is the two shiitake caps with shrimp stuffing panko crusted and lightly fried.
For those with a sweet tooth, Wakuwaku also offers a variety of desserts such as passion fruit, vanilla chocolate chip, matcha, red bean, coconut, and strawberry ice cream. Their menu also includes traditional Japanese dishes like Oden.
Overall, Wakuwaku provides an exceptional dining experience with its delicious food options and warm atmosphere. It's definitely worth making a reservation to try out their mouth-watering dishes!
