If you've dined with us over the past three decades, you've likely had the pleasure of being served by Leo or Cesar, two of the most incredible gentleman and professionals in hospitality you'll ever meet. This week, we at had the honor of celebrating their retirement. Together, they have dedicated 58 years of service to Gallaghers. In this day and age, that sort of loyalty is truly a small miracle. Please join us in wishing them many years of joy, good health, and well-deserved relaxation as they begin this exciting next chapter.

What people say

Gallaghers Steakhouse is a true New York City institution. Founded in 1927 as a speakeasy and steakhouse, it quickly became the go-to spot for those seeking a great meal and forbidden spirits during Prohibition. Today, Gallaghers continues to draw in crowds of all kinds, from Broadway stars to politicians to athletes, all seeking one thing: the perfect steak.

And what a steak it is! Gallaghers uses only USDA Prime Beef that has been dry aged for 21 days at a constant temperature of 36 degrees. This all-natural process ensures tenderness without any artificial "fiddling" that occurs at many other steakhouses in the city. The result is a truly exceptional dining experience that keeps customers coming back time and time again.

But it's not just the steak that makes Gallaghers special. The restaurant's rich history and storied past add an extra layer of charm and intrigue to every visit. From gamblers and show people to gangsters and business titans, Gallaghers has seen it all over the years. And yet, despite its fame and popularity, the restaurant remains welcoming and unpretentious, with friendly staff who make every guest feel like a VIP.

Overall, if you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience in New York City, look no further than Gallaghers Steakhouse. With its unbeatable steak, fascinating history, and warm hospitality, this iconic restaurant truly has something for everyone.
