Fellow New Yorkers: Our city is gonna be a bit crowded this Sunday as 50,000 runners race in the NYC Marathon. Maria didn't qualify this year (and couldn't pay the crazy registration fees even if she did), but that's not stopping her from running her own "more than a marathon" this Sunday. Maria will be running 26.67 miles and would be happy for folks to join her in this personal challenge. Starting at Cada Empanada on the corner of 28th & 6th Ave, the course will take runners north on 6th Ave to 29th street where they'll head west to 8th Ave, then south to 23rd street, then back east to 6th Ave and north to 28th Street. Maria and friends will do this 1.27 mile loop 21 times starting at 11am. Maria is shooting for a time of under 3 hours 13 minutes, but we're gonna give her a free meal no matter how long she takes. DM us if you're a New Yorker who wants to run with her.
