🇩🇰 Happy Birthday to HM The Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II, 81 today! 🇩🇰
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, it will not be possible to gather in front of the royal residence to wave flags and give birthday cheers, as per tradition.
Instead, for the second consecutive year, birthday greetings to the monarch will go digital – and it will be possible to congratulate HM the Queen through the official website of the Royal Household: https://www.kongehuset.dk

Hello all! It has been said that "all roads have an end" and so it is with great sadness that we announce that the Danish Club has come to our end and will not be reopening.
The club has been a fixture in Bay ridge since the 1940s and in recent years a strong and concerted effort was made to revitalize the club. Sadly, a small and ever shrinking active member base combined with the covid pandemic has made it impossible for us to operate and maintain our building.
The end of the Danish club will NOT be the end of the Danish presence in brooklyn! The danish brotherhood lodge (modersmalet) in bay ridge brooklyn and the Danish seamans church in downtown brooklyn will be sources of activities and events for those interested in all things Danish.
The club and its officers wish to thank everyone who has ever taken the time to visit us and also to thank our sister clubs, the danish brotherhood, sons of Norway, the norwegian 17th of may parade committee, the Danish home for the aged , Norwegian christian home, Norwegian seamans church and the Danish seamans church. All of these groups have come together at one point or another with the Danish club and helped to created many fond memories.
