One of NYC’s most talked-about and beloved dining experiences, Cadence redefined plant-based cuisine through its bold, deeply rooted approach to Southern food; earning a devoted following and leaving a lasting impact on the city.
Now, for a special night, it returns.
Hosted at Avant Garden, this special pop-up brings Cadence back with Chef Haley Duren in the kitchen, the chef behind its unmistakable voice. Expect a multi-course tasting menu that channels the flavors, technique, and energy that made the restaurant essential, featuring dishes like buttermilk cornbread, green Chile Mac & cheese, Southern fried lasagna, and more.
More than a pop-up, this is a continuation. A chance to gather again around food that meant something: to the culture, to the city, and to everyone who experienced it.
Seats are limited. This will sell out. Tickets available via Resy.

If you’ve been wondering where has been…
She’s been building something new. is now open in the East Village - an aged wine and focaccia bar shaped by fermentation, seasonality, and time.
The menu centers warm focaccia and small plates built around slow-fermented sauces, aged vinegars, and deeply developed ingredients, with seasonal produce at the core - a natural evolution of the thoughtful, ingredient-driven cooking you’ve come to know.
And, of course, the wines. The program focuses on bottles with ten or more years of age, many available by the glass, designed to be explored alongside the food.
Follow to see what she’s been working on.

With Cadence closing its doors on November 22, this may be our final Dinner Club event, and we can’t think of a sweeter way to celebrate. Don’t miss out! Secure your seat at the link in our bio.

We were honored to be invited by Chris Martin of to cook for , a nonprofit dedicated to providing school meals for children in Kenya. For the occasion, he asked Chef Haley to create a special Kenyan-inspired meal.
The response was overwhelming, and the dinner was so deeply received that we knew we had to bring it home to Cadence.
Now, for one night only, join us for a menu that celebrates Kenya’s rich culinary traditions through Chef Haley’s lens: soulful, bold, and rooted in love. A dinner that not only tells a story of flavor but also honors a mission of nourishment and community.

With full hearts, we share that Cadence will be closing its doors on November 22nd.
Over the years, this little corner of the East Village has been more than a restaurant—it’s been a gathering place, a celebration of Southern flavors through a plant-based lens, and a home for the community we’ve been blessed to serve.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has pulled up a chair, shared a meal, or simply believed in what Cadence stands for. Your love and support have carried us every step of the way.
Until our last service, we invite you to join us once more—to savor the food, the warmth, and the spirit of Cadence before we say goodbye.
