Not just another Meatless Monday today. We’re all about the healthyish here at Sandwell, and that includes The Remy, our vegan sando. We believe in celebrating veggies as their awesomest selves - rather than a facsimile of something else - so you’ll never find anything Impossible on our menus.
Inspired by both ratatouille (the dish) and Ratatouille (the epic film), we stack the flavors of the south of France into our house-baked semolina roll. The secret? Finishing with homemade zucchini pickles and house-infused basil oil to bring it all together. Traditional? Perhaps not. Outrageously delicious while also happening to be plant-based? Bet.

Sandwell is named after my mom, Sandra (also sandwiches made well, and sandwiches made with wellness, but mostly my mom). I walk by every day and touch my hand to her name on the walls. Even though she passed away 30 years ago last month, it still makes me smile to think of her every single time.
Thinking of all the moms today, the ones still here and the ones we carry with us. Happy Mother’s Day to our Sandwell family.

We had The Talk. 💍 From LTO to LTR — the Toasted Rivalry Tuna Melt is officially permanent.
We launched it as a Valentine’s special inspired by our favorite hockey couple. We expected a fun month. You had other plans — ordering it on repeat, writing in, telling us in no uncertain terms that this one had to stay.
The last time we got that kind of pushback was the Spicy Chicken Banh Mi (also still on the menu, also still a fan favorite). So we’re making it canon. Available at both shops, every day, from here on out. 🤝 ❤️

We’re obsessed with the kaleidoscope flavor of wild ramps — garlic, leek, spring onion & more, all rolled up into one little leafy plant (no, not that kind of rolled up leafy plant). We use them two ways: wild ramp chimichurri & garlic ramp aioli for layers on layers of crisp rampy flavor. Served with grilled chicken, roasted mushrooms, swiss, turkey bacon, caramelized onions, all on our house-baked semolina roll.
