Roasting day at Shepherd’s Cup! ❤️ ☕️
Did you know that the roastery is where a lot of the flavor of coffee is developed?
Every green coffee bean has potential, but the roasting process is what brings out the sweetness, body, aroma, and balance in the cup.
At Shepherd’s Cup, we roast in-house so we can pay close attention to how each coffee develops.
Every origin reacts differently to heat, time, and airflow. That means a coffee from Ethiopia may need a different approach than a coffee from Brazil, Haiti, Bolivia, or Burundi.
Our goal is not to roast as dark as possible.
It is to develop the coffee enough to bring out richness and depth while still preserving the natural flavor of the bean.
That is one of the details that makes specialty coffee stand out.
From sourcing to roasting to brewing, every step matters.

A great cup of coffee does not start behind the bar. It starts on a farm.
We work with importers like Cafe Kreyol to source our coffee from places like Haiti, Ethiopia, Brazil, Bolivia, and Burundi. Each origin has it’s own story and its own characteristics. Our goal is to highlight what makes each coffee unique.
Our work to bring out the best of each coffee begins in our roastery at Shepherd’s Cup.
We roast all our coffee in-house, giving us full control over quality, consistency, and flavor in every cup we serve.
Our roast profiles range from light to medium-dark, never roasted so far that the natural flavor of the bean is obscured.
If you have any questions about our coffee, let us know!

The cortado. With its origins in Spain, the name comes from the Spanish word meaning “to cut.”
At Shepherd’s Cup, we keep it simple and intentional: 2 oz of espresso, cut with 2 oz of perfectly steamed milk.
It’s a clean, balanced cup where the richness of the espresso meets the smoothness of the milk; exactly how it was meant to be enjoyed.
If you haven’t had one yet, it might become your new go-to.
